Wouldn’t it be nice to gamify religious knowledge? Make them into an Upcourse like course for kids? Make it into a fun storybook with videos and animated stories they can play and understand each little fun detail.
Updates go live on MyJainism
Recently, I’ve had talks about religion and the stories of gods and how there are schools of thoughts in many religions that we could learn from, there are gurukuls in India that teach the vedic knowledge but it is only for a handful of people.
I want to make something practical and interesting for people to learn, I feel the GenZ and later are not inclined or even interested to know about the fascinating stories, some have not even watched Mahabharata, some don’t know why Mahakumbh exist, there aren’t much courses tbh and parents can only give so much attention to these type of kids.
I’m making this playable game of sorts for myself, but if anyone else benefits from it, then so be it, I’ll be grateful, but it’s an experiment and along the way, i know some woke jains will cause trouble and also if MyJainism.in school becomes big, they’d try to come after the .com domain I bought lol.
As someone always into education and trying to make it simpler, I’ve had lot of criticism, lot of mistakes while teaching and hence I know the path I will take will also be full of mistakes, hence I start with the My Jainism project - A place where anyone can learn about jainism and the stories, the gods, the philosophy, the various in depth topics of omniscience, right path, right knowledge, etc. I will do it for 1 year every day a bit here and there and try to bring this religion further with my creative ideas.
I have excitement to do this more for myself because I realized while talking to others that I might know more about hinduism then jainism itself which is not a wrong thing, but I have a genuine curiosity to learn about the religion I was born in and what it has to offer. This 1 year project will serve as a template for use with other religions. It will be successful/failure that time will tell, but atleast I will keep myself in the shoe of a 7 year old learning the roots of a dharma.
I plan to consult with various gurus and teachers to build the largest ever Q/A dataset of Jainism and build a chatbot for kids to ask anything, making everything factual is a challenge especially with jainism where there are multiple truths and very less data. I will create daily quizzes, storybooks, and if the website gets a bit of traction, a proper gamified course in an app. Not planning to monetize it but I know if I want to, I can easily if it’s a good enough course. But it will take everything from research to daily writing, correcting, learning.
Daily updates on MyJainism :)
Alright, Let’s see what we can do till Feb 2026. How much can I learn and teach in a year.
